Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What RFID card formats does this 125KHz copier support?

A: This RFID handheld copier reads EM4100 and TK4100 format cards and key fobs. For writing, it is compatible with blank T5577, EM4305, CET5557, CET5200, and EM4205 cards/tags. It operates exclusively at 125KHz — it cannot read or write 13.56MHz (HF) cards.

Q: Do I need a computer to use this RFID duplicator?

A: No — this RFID copier writer operates completely standalone using just 2 × AAA batteries (not included) and its two onboard buttons. A USB connection to a PC is also available (Plug & Play, driverless on Windows XP through 10) for additional functionality, but is not required for basic read/copy operations.

Q: Why might a copied card fail to work in an access control system?

A: Some access control systems use firewalls, rolling codes, or special encryption chips that prevent standard duplication. If a copied card swipes only once or does not work at all, the system likely has anti-duplication measures in place. We recommend confirming your card type and access system compatibility before copying. Cards or tags are not included with the duplicator.

Q: Can this device copy cards at frequencies other than 125KHz?

A: No. This duplicator is designed specifically for 125KHz RFID cards and tags only. ID cards can come in various frequencies (125KHz, 250KHz, 350KHz, 500KHz). If your card operates at a different frequency, this device will not be able to read or copy it. Ensure your cards are confirmed 125KHz before purchasing.
